Enhancements

PORTAL - Mobile Friendly Version of the Portal

The Candidate & Contact Portal has been updated with a mobile user interface.

For those using the Portal, this now means that Candidates and Contacts will be able to access the Portal via their mobile.

All features and options have been retained:

 

 

IMPORT - Social Media Links added to the CSV Record Import Process

When using the 'Import Records' feature within Admin, the importer process has been updated to create Social Media Links.

Provided the column header is the same name as the Social Media Link description, the record will be created with the link included:

EMAIL - Templates Now Merge on Selection (Single Recipient Only)

When using the Colleague email form, on selection of an email template, if only one email address is in the 'To' field, the template will be added to the email and automatically merge in the data.

This helps Users to be completely satisfied on the layout and content of an email before pressing 'Send'.

 

COMPANY - 'Company Type' added to 'Update Fields' option on Company Search Results

When on a Company Search and using the recently added 'Update Fields' option (to update multiple records at once), we have added the 'Company Type' field.

 

LISTS - 'Favourites' now included on the 'Remove from Lists' table

When on a record, and selecting 'Remove from Lists', your User's 'Favourites' will now be included in the Lists table:

 

PLACEMENT - Enhancements to the default Placement Value calculation

A modified version of the 'Placement Value' function which Colleague uses to forecast the value of a Placement, has been updated to account for the Hours/Days Per Week fields. This will enable more accurate prediction for the value of a Placement.

 

WHATEX - 'Add to WhatEx' function on Candidate/Contact Search Results Enhanced

When in a Candidate or Contact Search Result and selecting some records to be uploaded to WhatEx, this process used to queue the records for upload and be processed via the Background Service.

This has now been updated to process the request immediately.

 



Minor UI Tweaks

LOOKUPS - Lookup Code now visible on Lookup

Within the Admin > Lookups area, on selection of a lookup, it will now advise the database code that exists behind the description.

This is for backend reporting purposes to give administrators the information they need.

 

EMAIL - Hidden Extended Parameter Added to signify that an Email was sent from Colleague

When sending an email from Colleague, embedded within the email header, there will now be a hidden extended parameter called 'ColleagueEmail' with a value of 'Yes'. This enables support engineers to determine which emails have originated from Colleague vs Outlook.

 



Bug Fixes

Outlook Add-in Fixes (CV Parser, Register, Create History, User List Ordering)

A number of fixes have been deployed to the Outlook Add-in, these include:

  • Register Candidate/Contact - Update to ensure Name and Email is carried across to the 'Create New' form
  • Create History HTML Formatting - It was raised that when using the 'Lookup Record & Log Email' option, the email would be added to history with HTML formatting included in the message body
  • Create History User Ordering - When creating a history, the User dropdown was in a random order. This is now alphabetical.

There is also now a visible version number to the Add-in. Our latest version is 25.01.06.

 

Notes Box update fixes (Updating Existing Record and Create New Record)

Further to updates that were deployed in the previous release. A hotfix was necessary mid sprint to ensure updating the notes of existing records worked as expected. Also when creating a new record and adding Notes these would sometimes not carry through, this has been resolved.

 

'Back to Top' removed from areas where this is unhelpful

Further to the deployment of a default styling behaviour, which meant that 'Back to Top' appeared bottom right whenever you scrolled down the page, this has now been removed from several pages and locations in the system to ensure it does not interfere with workflow or search results.

 

WhatsApp Notifications Appearing against Incorrect Users

An issue which sometimes caused WhatsApp notifications to appear against the wrong user accounts has now been resolved.

 

Interview Feedback - Notes Not Pulling Through

An issue regarding the Interview Feedback not pulling through correctly from the Interview record has now been resolved.

 

CV Parser Preview on .DOC Word Files

An issue regarding the preview format of .doc word files has been resolved. This would show the document content without any paragraph or line spacing.
