Enhancements

COLLEAGUE - New User Interface

We're excited and proud to announce that we have a new and improved User Interface for 2024 (and beyond).

These updates include:

  • Modern Body Content Bordering

COMPANY / CONTACT - Apollo Integration (Data Enrichment)

It is now possible to update your Company & Contact information via an integration with the data enrichment tool: Apollo.io.

This will require that you have setup an account with Apollo.io.

When enabled, on a Company record, you will be able to select the Apollo icon in the toolbar.

If you have not selected any Contact records, this will perform a Company search in Apollo IO.

As a mandatory requirement, you will need at least the Company Name and a Website address.

The Company data will be brought back to you for you to review:

 

You will be able to choose whether to update all information via 'Update All' or update individual fields by clicking on the tick icon (right handside).

If you wish to search/lookup Contact records, on the Company 'Contacts' tab, tick the Contacts you wish to check (or select all) and click on 'Apollo.io Search'.

Based on the Name, Company and Website address it will attempt to find Contact details relating to the selected Contact(s). If you have an email address against the Contact record, it will also use this to further help with filtering the search.

 

This is a feature that is also available on the Contact record.

The Apollo integration is enabled via a subscription key and Yes/No option in Global Settings:

 

There are also User Group Permissions which enable to disable access to this feature for specific User Groups.

Admin > User Group Permissions > Company > Enable Apollo Search

Admin > User Group Permissions > Contact > Enable Contact Apollo Search

NB: This is the first phase of the integration. We will shortly be updating it further with options from the Company Search and Contact Search.

 

CUSTOM FIELDS - New Lookup Subset Option

With this update comes a new option which will allow a client to setup a 'Parent/Child' lookup relationship.

For example:

 

 

This is supported with both single selection and multi-selection lookup types.

The purpose of this field type is to support the selection of one lookup field dictating the options of another 'subset' lookup field.

Within Admin, under Lookups > Custom Lookups.

On selection of a lookup, you will find there are now 'Subset Options' available to associate to each lookup:

 

For the 'Parent' Lookup, you would add this as a standard 'single selection' or 'multi-selection' lookup field.

For the 'Child' Lookup, you would add this as a Subset 'single selection' or 'multi-selection' lookup field.

 

You will also select the lookup that the subset field is linked with, ensuring that the values of the lookup field list based on the parent selection.

In the event of the 'Parent' lookup field being a multi-selection field, the subset field will list the subset options of all selected values:

 

When searching on these subset values, the Search will indent the options under the selected lookup Parents:

 

     


Minor UI Tweaks

DOCUMENTS - Right Click Menu

When on the Documents tab of a record, you can now select a Document and right click to access the Document options.

 

OWNING COMPANY - Ability to default Owning Company

It is now possible to set the default Owning Company when creating a Placement.

There is already an option to ensure the Owning Company is blank so it has to be set manually.

 

EMAILS - Option to Send all Emails via Background Service

When sending individual emails from a record, the process will send the email in real time.

When sending bulk emails to multiple recipients, the email sending process will send via a background service using a queuing system.

There is now a Global Setting to ensure all emails are sent via the background service.

Admin > Global Settings > Integrations > Send All Emails To The Queue

 



Bug Fixes

Personal Settings Being Lost

A persevering issue regarding the loss of Personal Settings (Column Options) when using Selection Screens and the Search should now be resolved. 

 

Commission Splits Scenario

A scenario which caused Commission Splits to be deleted in error when editing, has now been resolved. This was also deployed as a hot fix over the Christmas period.
